We walk through your home with you and note where things are hard or unsafe. Depending on the level you choose, you get an on-site conversation or a written list of what we'd suggest changing, in the order that makes sense.
What We Do

The team
We're a small team of builders, installers and an occupational therapist working together on one thing: making homes safer and easier to live in. Everyone here has a hand in the work, from the first walk-through to the last screw.

Our approach
Accessibility problems rarely sit entirely in the person or entirely in the house. They show up where the two meet — a step that's now too high, a doorway that's too narrow, a tub that used to be easy.
Plenty of professionals can recommend, and plenty of contractors can build. Heather brings 35+ years of occupational therapy to understanding how you move and what you need; Bruce brings 40+ years of construction to what the house will actually allow. We work out the answer together.

Financing
If paying all at once isn't practical, ask us about financing. We'll go over the options with you.
How It Works

Call, email, or send the form. We ask what's giving you trouble and how you use the house.

Our CAPS-certified occupational therapist walks the house with you, room by room.

A written plan and estimate: what to do now, what can wait, and what each part costs.

We schedule around your routine, keep you posted, and clean up at the end of each day.

We show you how everything works, and you can call us if things change.

Real Client Work
The old fiberglass tub surround came out down to the studs, making room for a curbless, easy-entry marble-tiled shower with a built-in seat, niche shelving, and a handheld wand.

In their own words
“After retiring I wanted to prepare my home for aging in place and reached out to Healthy Home Improvements, LLC in Greenville, SC. They weren't the typical "we can replace your tub with a shower" company, no! They didn't send a salesman but a highly educated and experienced operational mobility consultant to help me design an aging in place bathroom sanctuary. Their unique combination of both a highly experienced mobility therapist and a renowned home renovations expert ensured I was in talented and caring hands. The result far exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend Healthy Home Improvements for all your home mobility needs.”
